Medical Disclaimer

Last updated: 1 June 2026

Hope Physiotherapy Clinic provides expert online physiotherapy. Please read this disclaimer carefully — it explains what online care can and cannot do, and when you must seek in-person or emergency help instead.

1. Not for medical emergencies

Online physiotherapy is not appropriate for medical emergencies. If you experience any of the following, stop and seek immediate in-person medical care — call your local emergency number or go to the nearest hospital:

  • Chest pain, difficulty breathing, or symptoms of a heart attack or stroke;
  • Severe trauma, a suspected fracture, or an open wound;
  • Sudden loss of bladder or bowel control, or numbness around the groin/saddle area (possible cauda equina — a surgical emergency);
  • Sudden, severe, or rapidly worsening weakness or numbness in the limbs;
  • Fever with severe back or neck pain, unexplained weight loss, or night pain that wakes you;
  • Any symptom that feels severe, frightening, or out of the ordinary.

2. Website content is educational, not a diagnosis

Articles, condition pages, FAQs and other information on this website are provided for general educational purposes only. They are not a medical diagnosis, treatment plan, or professional advice for your specific situation. Reading this website does not create a clinician–patient relationship. A personalised assessment and plan are provided only during a booked consultation with Dr. Jyoti Bajpai.

3. What online physiotherapy can do

For most musculoskeletal conditions — back and neck pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, knee pain, sports injuries, posture problems, and many paediatric conditions — online video physiotherapy is highly effective for assessment, diagnosis, exercise prescription, movement correction and rehabilitation. Clinical evidence shows outcomes comparable to in-person care for these conditions.

4. What online physiotherapy cannot do

  • Hands-on manual therapy (joint manipulation, soft-tissue release, dry needling) requires physical presence and cannot be delivered online.
  • We cannot perform physical examinations that require touch, nor order or perform imaging or lab tests.
  • If, during your consultation, Dr. Bajpai determines that your condition requires in-person assessment, hands-on treatment, imaging, or referral to another specialist, she will tell you clearly and recommend the appropriate next step.

5. Individual results vary

Physiotherapy outcomes depend on your specific condition, its severity and duration, your overall health, and how consistently you follow your prescribed programme. Testimonials and typical timelines mentioned on this website describe individual experiences and are not a guarantee of any particular result for you.

6. Follow your programme safely

Perform prescribed exercises as instructed. Mild muscle soreness can be normal, but if any exercise causes sharp, severe, or worsening pain, stop and contact Dr. Bajpai before continuing. Do not begin a new exercise programme without clinical guidance if you have a serious medical condition.

7. Tell us about your full health picture

The safety and accuracy of your care depend on the information you share. Please disclose all relevant medical history, medications, surgeries, and other conditions. Withholding information may affect the suitability of the advice provided.

8. Questions
